Symbian OS - a service delivery platform

Services provided by mobile network operators have evolved significantly as rapid connections encourage more people to venture beyond voice. Data revenue is now the fastest growing source of revenue in the mobile space and Symbian smartphones play a key role in leveraging the adoption of data services.

Symbian OS allows network operators to deliver advanced mobile data services quickly and efficiently to their customers. At the end of H1 2007, over 145 million Symbian smartphones had shipped worldwide, representing an excellent commercial opportunity for network operators to offer exciting new mobile experiences across a common platform.
