Symbian welcomes new Nokia 6290 smartphone

29 November 2006 – Symbian Ltd. welcomes the launch of the new Nokia 6290 smartphone based on S60 3rd Edition and Symbian OS™ version 9. The Nokia 6290 is a mass market 3G fold, easy-to-use smartphone that supports a number of practical new features, multiple alarms and handy Quick Cover access keys which enable instant access to a wide range of the device's useful features, including an interactive world travel application.

The estimated retail price of the Nokia 6290 is €325 before subsidies or taxes and is expected to begin shipping in the first quarter of 2007.
