Symbian welcomes new Nokia Nseries devices

September 27, 2006 – Symbian Ltd. welcomes the launch of two new Nokia Nseries multimedia computers on S60 and Symbian OS™ version 9: the Nokia N95 and Nokia N75. Three other music edition devices based on Symbian OS were also unveiled, the Nokia N70, the Nokia 73 and Nokia N91.

Nokia N95

The Nokia N95 has a pioneering 2-way slide concept, integrated GPS functionality, a 5 megapixel camera and support for high-speed mobile networks (HSDPA), making it easier to watch and record videos, listen to songs, take high-quality photos, browse the internet, or catch up on email while on the move. The device features a large 2.6" QVGA 16 million colour display, impressive 3D graphics and built-in stereo speakers offering a 3D stereo effect.

The Nokia N95 is expected to start shipping in volumes during the first quarter of 2007 at an estimated unsubsidized retail price of 550 euros.

Nokia N75

The Nokia N75, a clamshell design is the smallest device in the Nseries range and is being offered initially in the US market. The device offers: a 2 megapixel camera (1600 x 1200 pixels) with 16x Zoom and flash, 2.4'' screen with up to 16 million colours, 1.36" colour cover display, support for multiple music formats including MP3, M4A, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA, storage for up to 1,500* individual tracks on an optional 2GB microSD card, stereo FM radio, integrated 3D stereo speakers and support for 3G (WCDMA 850/1900 MHz), EDGE and GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) networks.

The Nokia N75 is expected to be available initially in the US during the fourth quarter of 2006.

Nokia N70, Nokia N73, Nokia N91 8GB (The Music Range)

Nokia also unveiled music editions of three Nokia Nseries multimedia computers, the Nokia N70, Nokia N73 and Nokia N91 8GB. Key benefits include dedicated music access keys, Nokia PC Suite and new software for easy sync and music management, and additional storage capacity - with an 8GB hard drive, the Nokia N91 8GB is a fully-loaded music machine.
