December 19, 2005 – Symbian Ltd. today announced that the Vodafone 702NKII (Nokia 6680), which was launched on December 17, 2005, is based on Symbian OS™, the leading, open standards based operating system for advanced mobile phones. The Vodafone 702NKII (Nokia 6680) is manufactured by Symbian OS licensee Nokia Corporation.
This increases the total number of Symbian OS-based mobile phones available in Japan to 21. Symbian OS brings higher quality mobile phones with better features quickly to consumers, expanding the 3G cell phone market even further.
