Symbian OS used in NTT DoCoMo FOMA™ D701i

Symbian announces 16th phone for Japanese market

September 12, 2005 –  The FOMA D701i is manufactured by Symbian OS™ licensee Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.

This increases the total number of Symbian OS-based mobile phones available in Japan to 16. Symbian OS brings higher quality mobile phones with better features quickly to consumers, expanding the 3G cell phone market even further.

  • NTT DoCoMo’s FOMA service is only available to subscribers in Japan.
  • “FOMA” is a trademark or registered trademark of NTT DoCoMo, Inc. in Japan and other countries.
  • All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
