September 12, 2005 – The FOMA D701i is manufactured by Symbian OS™ licensee Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
This increases the total number of Symbian OS-based mobile phones available in Japan to 16. Symbian OS brings higher quality mobile phones with better features quickly to consumers, expanding the 3G cell phone market even further.
