Meet the author

Martin de Jode will be signing copies of ‘Programming Java 2 Micro Edition on Symbian OS’ at the JavaOne Conference.

Martin joined Symbian in 2000, after completing an MSc in Object Oriented Software Systems from City University. As a Java Developer Consultant in Symbian’s Developer Network he spends his time providing support to Symbian’s Java developer community. In addition to writing technical papers on PersonalJava and J2ME for Symbian’s website, Martin has developed numerous utility and sample applications showing how to make the most of Symbian’s Java platform. Other activites include delivering training, evangelizing Java on Symbian OS and keeping on top of the proliferation of J2ME JSRs. He also holds a BSc in Physics and a PhD in non-linear optics research.
