CeBIT Hanover, Germany - March 13th 2002 - Symbian today announced details of its Developer Expo 2002, taking place at London's ExCeL Exhibition Centre on the 23rd and 24th of April. The event will focus on how Symbian enables companies from across the wireless industry to create compelling content, services and applications for delivery to an increasingly wide range of Symbian OS mobile phones, including the Sony Ericsson P800 smartphone and the Nokia 7650.
The comprehensive two-day agenda features senior executive keynotes from three of the world's top mobile phone manufacturers: Ihara Katsumi, CEO Sony Ericsson, Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President of Nokia Mobile Phones and Fernando Gomez, Senior VP and General Manager of Motorola, EMEA.
The event will offer developers five simultaneous tracks of training and workshops on key wireless technology implementations and market drivers for Symbian OS. For the first time, there will be the opportunity to attend these specialist workshops focusing on developing applications and services for the Sony Ericsson P800 smartphone, the Nokia 7650 smartphone and the Nokia 9200 Series Communicator. Fifty additional sessions will cover wireless gaming, Java, tools, synchronisation, MMS, messaging and email, wireless browsing and wireless commerce.

Over 60 pioneering wireless technology companies will be sponsoring and exhibiting at the Developer Expo. In addition to Platinum level sponsors Nokia, Texas Instruments and Vodafone, Gold sponsors are Intel, Orange, Metrowerks, Picsel and Sony Ericsson.
