XcelleNet and Symbian partner to provide wireless management to enterprises

XcelleNet's Afaria extends systems management functionality for Symbian OS based wireless devices

ATLANTA (June 28, 2001) - XcelleNet, Inc., the leading provider of management solutions for remote systems and mobile & wireless devices, and Symbian have announced that XcelleNet has joined Symbian's Technology Partner Program. Under the agreement, XcelleNet will provide wireless device management solutions to enterprises using Symbian OS based devices, and Symbian will provide assistance to help XcelleNet market and support its technology solutions optimized for the Symbian OS.

XcelleNet's Afaria ™, provides enterprises with the ability to track and manage applications and data resident on Symbian OS based devices, allowing them to increase the productivity of their mobile workers, while decreasing their cost of ownership.
