Celebrating the 10th Smartphone Show

Looking back, looking forward

Growing from a humble developer conference into one of the most important international events in the mobile industry calendar, the Smartphone Show has played host to the last ten years of Symbian innovation.

With the introduction of a dedicated developer area, the Mobile DevFest, and 60 seminars covering almost every aspect of Symbian OS development, there was more than enough technical information for developers to sink their teeth into.

For the more commercially minded, there were 10 keynotes from leading industry representatives plus an exhibition area showcasing leading edge services and solutions from 120 different companies. And who could forget the legendary Symbian Party, which turned out to be a great all-round toasting and mingling of friends and successes from the last ten years.

The Symbian stand

At this year’s show, Symbian not only paid homage to this decade of development, but also focused on those new technologies enabling the mobile phones of tomorrow. The Symbian stand embraced past, present and future innovation while highlighting the key role played by both our developer community and ecosystem in its creation.
