UIQ Technology announces the winners of the UIQ Open developer competition

UIQ Technology announced today the winners of the UIQ Open, a developer competition aimed at finding and showcasing the most innovative, useful or entertaining third-party applications on the UIQ software development platform.

The UIQ Open is an application competition where software developers and software companies submit UIQ 3 applications in different categories on the UIQ Developer Community website. Started December 2006, the competition ended on February 18, 2007, and during the past few weeks a jury of experts has evaluated the submissions coming from all over the world and appointed winners.

"We were very impressed by the quality and diversity of the applications we received for the UIQ Open.", says Peter Wikström, Head of the Developer Program at UIQ Technology. "The list of winners is a great illustration of the richness and possibilities offered by the UIQ Platform, and how application developers can make excellent use of them."

The judging panel selected two winning applications in each of the five categories.

The winners were all delighted when receiving the news; among the comments were:
