HelloSoft to Provide VoIP and IMS/VCC Solutions on Symbian smartphones

HelloSoft Joins Symbian Platinum Program

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 31 -- HelloSoft, Inc. today announced that it has joined the Symbian Platinum Program to support the growing market for Symbian OS(TM). As a Platinum Partner, HelloSoft is extending its VoIP and IMS/VCC software solutions for mobile devices to the Symbian ecosystem. Symbian develops and licenses Symbian OS, the market leading open operating system that powers today's most popular smartphones. Symbian OS is licensed by the world's leading mobile phone manufacturers and to date; over 83 million Symbian smartphones have shipped worldwide to over 250 major mobile network operators.

Symbian OS phones are growing in popularity. During H1 2006, Symbian OS phone shipments grew more than 65% compared to H1 2005. According to John Jackson, Director, Wireless/Mobile Technologies, Yankee Group, by 2010, well over 200 million smartphones will be selling worldwide each year, representing 18% of annual global volumes.
