CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment, San Francisco, Calif., (09/27/05) – Intellisync Corporation (Nasdaq: SYNC), the leader in platform-independent wireless messaging and mobile software, today announced that Intellisync software will support the Nokia 9300 smartphone and 9500 Communicator. The announcement is yet another step in Intellisync’s march towards ubiquitous mobile computing, and supports Intellisync’s distinction as supporting the broadest range of devices and platforms in the mobile messaging industry.

As a founding member of Forum Nokia’s Enterprise Zone program, Intellisync works closely with Nokia to optimize its wireless platform for Nokia's business-optimized devices, including the Nokia 9300 smartphone and 9500 Communicator. Intellisync also collaborates with Nokia as a Forum Nokia Pro developer to ensure pro-sumer and consumer devices benefit from seamless support from Intellisync’s wireless platform.

Intellisync’s wireless solution provides comprehensive wireless communications capabilities for virtually any device on any platform. In addition to Intellisync’s support of the industry leading smartphone platform from Nokia Series 60, Intellisync now enables wireless carriers and enterprises to deliver advanced wireless communications services including wireless push email, synchronization for calendars, contacts, files, data and applications, and highly secure device management software for Nokia 9300 smartphone and 9500 Communicator users.

The Nokia 9300 smartphone and 9500 Communicator offer powerful features like Bluetooth, EDGE high-speed data capabilities and 80 megabytes of memory in a small, easily managed device.

"This announcement underscores the value that our platform approach brings to developers,” said Nasser Iravani, director, Forum Nokia – Americas. “By extending their Mobile Suite to include Series 80, Intellisync simultaneously brings support for both Nokia 9300 and 9500 devices. We're happy to now see Intellisync add Series 80 support in addition to Series 60, allowing enterprises, consumers and operators to benefit from single source solutions for messaging and synchronization."

“With Intellisync, you can ‘take your office with you on your mobile phone’ such as the Nokia 9300 smartphone and 9500 Communicator,” said Rip Gerber, chief marketing officer for Intellisync. “Nokia is the hands-down market share leader in mobile device shipments, and Intellisync intends to support every single one of the millions of handsets Nokia ships each day with some sort of messaging – whether it be wireless push email for smartphones like the Nokia 9300 smartphone and 9500 Communicator or text messaging for Java-based devices. By supporting the industry’s broadest range of devices, we enable wireless carriers and businesses to allow customers and employees to choose the device that fits their personal needs. We are delighted to be working so closely with Nokia on many fronts.”

Intellisync provides wireless solutions that support a broad range of mobile devices and operating systems, and works with more than 35 wireless carriers including Verizon Wireless, Sprint PCS, Eurotel, Equant/France Telecom, Brasil Telecom and Vivo. The Intellisync platform powers more than 500,000 wireless push email subscribers, second only to RIM based on the company’s estimates.

In addition to wireless push email, Intellisync’s platform provides advanced synchronization capabilities, extending beyond calendars and contacts to include data, file and application synchronization for a wide range of business applications. These capabilities allow professionals to use their mobile devices to access and use sales force automation tools, customer relationship management, databases and other critical business applications without the need for a PC. Intellisync’s platform also includes secure device management software that allows businesses and carriers to remotely control device capabilities, secure lost devices, lock down insecure features or manage firmware upgrades and automatically back up devices.
