5/09/05, Milford, CONN - DataViz, Inc., leading provider of Office compatibility solutions for over 21 years, announced today that its award-winning mobile Office suite, Documents To Go, is now available for Sony Ericsson P800/P900/P910 smartphones. Building on the market success of the number one selling Documents To Go for Palm OS, DataViz has extended the product line to now offer owners of these Sony Ericsson series of smartphones the ability to use, edit and create actual Microsoft Word and Excel files as well as view PowerPoint files. Developed for the Symbian UIQ platform and specifically for Sony Ericsson P800/P900/P910 smartphones, this new edition is also the first to incorporate DataViz' unique InTact Technology. This groundbreaking technology ensures complete document integrity when Microsoft Office files are opened and edited by users on mobile platforms, eliminating the need for conversion or desktop computer synchronization. Any edits will be intelligently merged with a file's existing formatting to create an updated document that can be e-mailed or exchanged with others directly from the smartphone.
DataViz Inc.
"With critical documents being shared across a variety of platforms, the importance of document integrity is becoming all the more evident," said Danny Tu, DataViz, Inc. "By equipping the popular Sony Ericsson P800, P900 and P910 smartphones with Documents To Go, business professionals and road warriors alike can exchange proposals, sales reports and other important files with colleagues while in the field, and do so confidently knowing all formatting and file attributes will remain."
Mobile Office solutions currently available on the market either offer a view-only solution for Office files or are unable to maintain all file formatting when edits are made to those files in a mobile environment, compromising their usefulness. Documents To Go, with the employment of InTact Technology, bridges this gap by providing a desktop-quality editing experience that ensures complete document integrity. From files that contain common formatting attributes such as embedded graphics to those with advanced features such as footnotes, endnotes and comments, all formatting unique to each document will be maintained regardless of changes made to the file on these Sony Ericsson series of smartphones.
