Symbian OS used in Nokia 6260 smartphone

14 June 2004, London, UK - Symbian today announced that the Nokia 6260 smartphone is based on Symbian OS. The 6260 is the first Symbian OS phone from Nokia’s Mobile Phone Business Unit, the division responsible for creating Nokia’s biggest selling products. The Nokia 6260 is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of 2004 at an estimated unsubsidized sales price of €400. The 6260 is the ninth Symbian OS smartphone to be announced by Symbian OS licensees in 2004. The rapid increase of Symbian OS phones is further evidence of Symbian’s leadership in the worldwide smartphone OS market as the standard platform for advanced, highly differentiated mobile phones.

  • innovative twist and fold design
