Vision for future cost-effective production and global delivery capability
There are now evolving a number of UI systems from licensees. A licensee either purchases a UI system from a UI Design Centre (e.g. UIQ Technology AB) or develops their own - possibly with assistance from a Symbian Competence Centre.
Our vision is to lever the existing expertise and knowledge of Symbian’s Generic Technologies in the current Symbian Application UI Developers Course, by creating an Application UI Developer’s Course Customisation Kit.
A licensee or UI design centre would engage Symbian’s Technical Training team, who would using internal knowledge and skills of appropriate Symbian Training Partners, apply this customisation kit and produce a version of the course tailored to one UI system.
The training course would then be made available by Symbian to Symbian’s Training Partners.
