Installing Sampler UI

Sampler UI can be run as a standalone or through the Eclipse Carbide IDE.

Complete the following steps to install the Sampler UI on your system:

1. Navigate to the folder ..\Carbide.c++ v1.1\. Select the eclipse.exe application.

2. Click on the wizard icon, this starts the Symbian Carbide Workspace Launcher. Read the instructions thoroughly.

3. Type or browse the folder where you want to save projects.

4. Click OK. This loads the Symbian Carbide workbench and opens the CPU Profiling Carbide c++.

5. Select Open->Perspective->Other->CPU Profiling from the Windows menu.

The Sampler UI is now installed on your system from the Symbian Carbide workbench.

Complete the following steps to install the standalone version of the Sampler UI:

1. Unzip sampler_ui.zip.

2. Navigate to the folder ..\sampler_ui\eclipse. Double-click the cpu_usage.exe application. The Symbian CPU Profiling GUI is displayed.
