Installing WinPcap 3.0

WinPcap is used by Symbian OS's Ethernet Physical Device Driver (PDD) to send and receive ethernet frames. The library is a Windows port of the libpcap library used by the tcpdump program on Unix and Linux.

The emulator works with version 3.0 of WinPcap. It can be downloaded from http://netgroup-serv.polito.it/winpcap.

It is important that only one copy of WinPcap is installed at once. Use 'Control Panel >> Add Remove Programs' to uninstall any existing copies of the software before installing the new one.
